Terminally egoic parasitic society syndrome

Does each ant seek relevance

Is it our flaw to desire significance

Is the good of the many lost on ego

Do we step from the whole towards failure

Are we parasites

Are we malignant

Are we cannibals

Do we sap everything

There is not a resource without a tap

The scarcity driving the hunger

We will devour this world

The few stockpiling resource

The many spinning in circles

Rounding the drain

The hungriest few clinging to the basin

Happy to be the last

What sort of life will they build

Knowing what they know

Will they cultivate backs for bearing

Will they breed kings and queens

Will they love their small world

As I love mine

As you love yours
