Cycle Of A Lovers Seasons

Cycle Of A Lovers Seasons

A Poem by Darian J.

I came back to
what i already knew
in the end
there's no unattended tombs

for the clocks hands reached
like a theifs last meet
with the long armed laws
gun

and the moon mesmerized
with her mirrored image
decided
she wanted to know love
too

so she set herself down
in the ocean and now
the sun comes up too soon

cause it's all a game
of fate
i seek, you run away
and try to hide
your face

but no mask you
can mold has
a cast that is so
unrecognizable
that your behaviors will
vanish
your habits will come back

the tree doesn't grow
far from the grove

and when it happens
i'm sure you'll look
in the reflection and
say help i've created a
monster

love is a garden
each one of us holds
it dies and comes alive
as time speeds up and slows
but what
if
what if
it
what if
it froze
