Cradled Balance

Cradled Balance

A Poem by Darian J.

Cold air like thin ice
heavy breathing, I'm falling
sudden feeling of weightlessness
sets the spin in motion

felt it a million times before
still can't
still can't get used to it

sea of white
ocean of black
shift your tides
on times running sands

every book must come to an end
so what's the conclusion of life
and the last page of death

The vent's too loud
to hear your breath
like going too deep
down narrow steps

the darkness becomes
luminous as i get ready
to crash

to crash
to crash
and find the bottom
to rest
to rest
and fit the coffin
to crash
to rest
to crash
to rest
to crash
to rest
to crash
