Greed

Greed

A Poem by Layne Deakins

Concealed behind white walls,

the greedy souls flourish.

Walking endless golden halls,

craving luxury, power, and worship.

Never facing the horrors of reality,

they hide behind riches.

Such dangerous irrationality.

So many wasted wishes.
