![]() The GraveA Chapter by Lacy Dawn
Melinda hated the long ride to the grave of her son. The thought of the sweet girl that turned into Death bothered Melinda. She just wanted to let her son to rest in peace. Death told her he would never but why would she listen to him. When they reached Hunter's grave, Melinda ran to to the grave. Her son's grave pushed up from the ground. Melinda asked the grave diggers to give him more room. Melinda's son Hunter loved to be comfortable and have a roomy area. The sun was shining on Melinda as she was kneeled down next to her son's grave. Whoever killed her son is unforgivable. She punched the grave of her son. She didn't know that she did until she heard a moan. Her eyes became wide. She stood up and backed away from the grave. The grave started shaking. About 30 seconds later it stopped. " Hunter is here. " The Ghost Hunter told Melinda.
" Is he in front of me? " She asked The Ghost Hunter. The Ghost Hunter nodded. Melinda reached out in front of her. She felt around to see if she could feel him. She was shocked when she felt something. She pulled her hand back and fainted. A minute later she woke up in the same place. She looked to where The Ghost Hunter was standing before she passed out. He stood there next to seven trees that spread around him. She stood up and shook herself to get dirt and leaves of her body. " He's still in front of you, and you touched him before you fainted " The Ghost Hunter yelled to her. So Melinda looked towards where she touched her son and lifted her hand high then tried to pat Hunter's head. She felt his dirty hair and she smiled. He almost never took a bath. She took her hand of his ghostly head and put it at her side. " Does your black eyes make you see ghosts? " She asked The Ghost Hunter. The Ghost Hunter nodded. She started crying wishing she could see ghosts. She wanted to see her son. But then she thought about the bad ghosts. " Hunter says that someone took him far away, " Ghost Hunter told Melinda. " So far away isn't always a good thing like in Fairy Tales, " Melinda muttered to herself. " Did he tell you who killed him? " Melinda asked Ghost Hunter. Ghost Hunter shook his head. Melinda closed her eyes tightly. She wished he did so she could tell the police. She wanted her son to go to Heaven happily. She fell to her knees crying so much. Her eyes filled with tears and the came out like a clogged up waterfall. The sun shined down on them. She wished everything would be done with. She wished her son would be able to rest in peace. Ghost Hunter helped her stand up and walked her to the car. The got to the car slowly and entered it. They buckled their seat belts and went off. It was time to go home for a rest then start the mission again tomorrow. © 2013 Lacy Dawn |
