The Meadow of smiling flowersA Poem by Lacy DawnA little girl goes to a amazing place!
She grabbed her basket in excitement, as she headed out the door.
Her mother waved goodbye, as she prepared another basket. Little Abby Duncan was in love, with a place the world will never know. The meadow of smiling flowers, is such a beauty indeed. God made it just for her, to explore the outer world. She patted the petals of the smiling sunflowers, and they wiggled their stem. They loved when she came, to their little meadow of happiness. When she skipped to the roses, they were happy indeed. She made them shriek with gladness when she came to weed. They didn't like those weeds, poking them and hurting them indeed. They enjoyed their company, when they weren't mean. As the weeds sputtered away saying "Sorry smiling flowers." The flowers changed their minds and just wished them to move. The meadow of smiling flowers only let her in, when she brought a basket for the weeds. The weeds would go inside then put on the ground a bit further away. Little bitty Abby enjoyed the smiling flowers, and wished to come everyday. Abby and the flowers had fun indeed, but she had to go home. She skipped back home in a good mood, nobody could destroy it. When she came back inside there was the basket at the door. She wanted to go back, so she took the basket and fled away... TO THE MEADOW OF SMILING FLOWERS! :) © 2013 Lacy DawnAuthor's Note
