Dungeon

Dungeon

A Poem by Althelia Marie Caine

Shadows,
playing across the dark walls,
Chains,
clink and rattle from desperate movements,
Screams,
echo off the high, darkened ceiling,
Blood,
trickles in slow streams from two pale wrists,
Tears,
flow endlessly from pale, empty blue eyes,
Days,
forever spent shackled down there,
Fears,
trapped inside her own nightmares,
Shackles,
holding her prisoner in her own mind's dungeon.

wow, i love the description, but laylay its really dark and almost made me cry. which i guess is a bonus on your part because it means your playing your emotion card to its full advantage
