Closing In

Closing In

A Poem by Althelia Marie Caine

In this room,
This awful day,
I close my eyes,
And start to pray,
From my aching heart,
I spill my fears,
And soon there after,
I spill my tears,
Are you there,
Aware of this scare,
Or are you asleep,
Listening silently as I weep?
Can you you hear me,
Way up there?
While I sit alone,
In this cold, dark lair,
Please whisper to me in my head,
Before they find me,
Cold in my bed.

Pretty good Layla. A little depressing, but that does seem to be your style.

About
My name is Layla. I have of love of writing and literature but to be perfectly honest? I'm not very good with words and I have a hard time putting them together to form poetry or a story. And I'm okay.. more..
