Closing InA Poem by Althelia Marie Caine
In this room,
This awful day, I close my eyes, And start to pray, From my aching heart, I spill my fears, And soon there after, I spill my tears, Are you there, Aware of this scare, Or are you asleep, Listening silently as I weep? Can you you hear me, Way up there? While I sit alone, In this cold, dark lair, Please whisper to me in my head, Before they find me, Cold in my bed.
