Lost RoseA Poem by Althelia Marie CaineWrote this five minutes ago in Journalism
This lost rose,
Once beautiful and graceful, Wilts slowly away, The cruel frost of Winter, Draws the beauty slowly, Out of silk, red petals, A green leaf falls sadly, From the once strong stem, Left of this once beautiful rose, The thorns of this dying grace, Live to prick another stray finger, Of an unknowing heart.
