I Lay Here Alone

I Lay Here Alone

A Poem by Althelia Marie Caine

As I lay here alone
the pain of loss
clowds my mind
tears fill my grief
filled eyes
as I think of the one
I love
in another's
false arms,
The thought
of my love
being used
by this falsity
brings anguish
to my failing
heart
while I stand by
and sadly watch as
this falsity
makes my love being
a misery
while she laughs
and kicks him
to the ground,
I sit at the sidelines
waiting anxiously for
my love
to come to his scenses
and return to the
warmth and love
of my embrace.

Besides a couple of typos, this is a very
emotional write.. I felt the sadness the
betrayal and the uncertainess...Good job.
