Reflections

I look at myself in the mirror
and all I see
is the missing part of my soul.
You took with you
that one vital part of myself
when you left that day.
I can feel clearly
that empty space
and I know I'll never be whole again.
I'll never be the same
without your love to hold me tightly
without your warmth to keep me safe.
My heart will never heal
My soul will never again be whole.
All because you didn't love me
