Let Me Forget You

Let Me Forget You

A Poem by Althelia Marie Caine

I lay awake
unable to sleep
as memories of what we once were
run rampant through my restless mind,
No matter how much I try to escape
I can't
the memories continue to torment me.
I don't want to remember you
don't want to remember us
I want to forget the laughs we shared
the smiles from across the room
I want to forget the way you held me close
the way you touched me so gently, so passionatley
Please, my love
Leave me be
Let me gorget you
because I don't want the memories.
Those memories that cause me so much pain.

Let me say i do feel how you feel right here. Got out of a very close relationship and it was so difficult.

I like how you use simply phrases in you writings because that way you are clear in expressing yourself. i think however you should audit your work before uploading it for typing errors.

I know this is an old poem :) i just had to leave a review coz i really like it.
