The winter's roseA Poem by Pretty_as_a_PoetI finally found the perfect title!!
Blossoms budding in the spring, It fills all with delight,
And summer roses, blooming proud, they really are a sight, So delicate, and beautiful, there perfect through and through, Just sitting there, for those to pick, bringing joy to all who do Autumn falls, the winter calls, the flowers shrink away And yet us golden Dandelions live another day Hello I am the winter’s rose; though you don’t know I’m there But I’m perfect as the summer blooms if given proper care, I’m Strong enough to bear the winter, the other flower’s fall And I have found, I last all year, so I have seen it all, But still It puzzles me why all the people think us shrill, When they see us golden Dandelions blooming on a hill, I don’t see what’s so wrong with us, flowers have no need, And yet the people hate me so, because I am a weed. © 2013 Pretty_as_a_PoetReviews
