The weddingA Poem by Pretty_as_a_PoetNot what your expecting...
The bride walks down the aisle, her dress a creamy white,
Petals fly the groom smiles it's such a beautiful sight, But one woman sits in the pew, alone, and a tear slips from her eye, Thinking about her past out of despair she starts to cry, She and the groom were the closest of friends, but in her heart she wanted more, And when the groom announced he was to wed, into pieces her heart tore, Forever she had loved him so, but for years she never knew, That all the while that she loved him, he also loved her too, But now he's gone, married away, she'll never have him now, If only she said that she loved him, If only she knew how She knows she should be happy for him, he found his Mrs. Right, But the tears keep falling from her eyes so she closes her eyes tight, She can't bear to see the kiss that will steal what should be hers, And when it's time to make a toast she just can't find the words, Now every night she lays in bed and cries herself to sleep, Because every time she thinks of him she just can't help but weep © 2013 Pretty_as_a_PoetReviews
