New Ending

New Ending

A Poem by Lauren
"

For a lost love but beautiful friendship.

"
Indulging in sorrow, I was
the taste lingering
like poison tears
Vengeance raindrops
reflecting images of broken
thoughts and lost time.
So far and long ago

Like dust in the wind,
carrying thoughts never meant
to grow.   Beneath the fallen debris,
you found me.  Your heart
a perfect melody; it let me in.
A calm of my storm;
you saved me.
The sun welcomed us
that morning... and I
was free.
But only in my dreams.

One sleepless night with you began the beautiful, bitter path to the newest dead end.

a sweet dedication. very well balanced and composed with seeming ease.

Paritcularly liked the lines;

Dust in the wind,
with thoughts never meant
to grow.

Well done.
