Tonight

Something I think all humans experience.

Simple feel of lonesomeness

Complacent, still

All so still

When the world itself seems out of place

certain thoughts you won’t erase

A kiss, a tear, an amorous fear

A balmy night, but not in here

Emotion thought to overwhelm

Tonight brings forth a different realm

The blue is black but here it’s gray

Sometimes it’s best to wait away

A sudden smile, ponder this -

Glad to have had something to miss

 

Perhaps it all will be all right

 

 

It’s just a simple, lonely night
