Poetic License or My Flaws

Poetic License or My Flaws

A Poem by Larry Dyson

I begin talking and my mind kicks into gear...

no no not like that.. what i mean is.. or do I...

my mind and thoughts go scattered every where and end up being altered and changed just for the rhyming sake or the word position...

does it sound better that way ..

or is it just a form of ...

poetic license.

i find myself with racing thoughts like these when i am having difficulty writing. your poem succinctly describes what it's like to be thinking too much about it. excellent stream of consciousness.

Poetic license. I find beauty in language, it's an art form.
I love your little poem, it has merit and thoughtfulness and a few smiles.

I love the idea of this and the last line says it all. We can create whatever poetry we want. We are the poets after all.
