COLD HERE

COLD HERE

A Poem by Larry Dyson
"

joking bout the weather here

"

It's 20 deg and blowing sleet and its the gulf coast of Texas ...

what gives?

The temperature is dropping here in (warm and sunny ...not)..

gulf coast of Texas.

Everyone came to the gulf coast of Texas for the Super Bowl...

to get warmer?

Saying in Texas...

If you don't like the weather.. wait a while...

Forecast for Sunday is high of ..get this...63 deg F!

It tastes of brine the ocean type.

yet flutters and flurries on the wind.

its color seems brown

yet not inclined to divulge

its name or substance

in flickering and faltering shodows

 it does throw.

Reading your words..........I tell people if you don't like the weather in Georgia wait til tomorrow it will be completely different. I worry.....as I talk to my friends all over the world and everyone is experiencing crazy weather...what is our world coming too? Excellent poem

nature and its unpredictability...mercury and merculiarity go hand in hand...and it's better to accept with equanimity...the vagaries beyond our comprehension...

There is such a mystery in the world, weather and all! Your insights strike a chord to be sure... Oh, seems the earthquake off the coast of Japan shifted our axis just slightly and slowed earth's rotation. Wondering now what that will do to the skies over Texas...

I wrote a blog a while ago, asking if the weather was rebelling .. see what I mean, my friend.

A fine write, a story on the run, and maybe, a moral in the telling .. never believe past records or annual expectations.
