Panther-She

Panther-She

A Poem by Larry Dyson

POEM

'IN THE MORNIN' SHE WALKS..ALONG THE RIVERS EDGE..

PRECIPICE WALKING...PROVACATIVELY... LIKE A CIRCUS TIGHTROPE WALKER..

FOG AN' SNOW SWIRLING ,FLUID..THEN STOPS .

ALL IS CRYSTAL QUIET...FALCON CIRCLES HIS WATCH AS HER GUARDIAN....

BELL RINGS THRICE..

KRYSTAL ,FEMININE...AS THE ICE CYCLE THAT HANGS FROM BRANCH..

CLEAR, SLIPPERY , SILENT,.FEROCIOUS.

LURKING IN THE QUIET ..WATCHING FROM PRIMEVIL FOREST..

PANTHER? ..

LEAD AND POWDER AT READY..FASHIONED FROM THE HUMAN FACTORY NOW FADED IN THE OVERGROWTH...FLASH OF MUZZLE WAVE OF ARMS ..LOUDLY

MARKING AND CLAIMING MY EARTH..PEE BLESSING MY LOVELY SPOT.. FEEL MY WARM PEE ENRICH HER.. MOTHER OF ALL ..TERRA..

RITUAL OF A WITCH ..SILENT AND CLEAR AND SLIPPERY..BELL RINGS OUT THRICE..

CALLING THE FALCON, HAWK AND THE EAGLE..WATCHING FROM THEIR TOWER AND BRANCH ..RECORDING HER EVERY DETAIL FOR MASTERS...

SPEAK TO ME OH FLASHING FALCON, ANCIENT HAWK ...OH BLESSED EAGLE..TELL YOUR STORIES OF MAJIK IN THE WOODLAND..

SWEET KISSES OF ACCEPTANCE AND FRIENDSHIP ..BLUSHINGLY ACCEPTED.. MARKING THE WORDS ENJOYED EVER SO..

SPEAK TO ME ENDEARING ONE OF THE NATURAL WAYS..WICCAN AND PAGAN..

DEARTO YOUR HEART AND SOUL.. RITUAL OF LUSTS..DRAW MY PICTURE AND FOCUS MY COLOR IN YOUR SPIRIT..

This is a poem worthy of a remote standing. The sequences of what is happenings portray a depth that challenges the mind. Its one of those that can be interpreted by different readers on many different levels because the imagination can take it in so many unique ways.****

This is absolutely beautiful. You use such descriptive words that really add imagery to the poem and make it extremely interesting and nice to read. I love it! ^.^ ~J

i enjoyed tremendously the love of nature and her creatures and the blissful honesty in this write. depth perception actually takes on meaning in this and, that is not easy to project...admirable. also, the reference to wiccan and pagan touches the heart of my beliefs..awesome! found myself lost in this one (excuse the intended oxymoron)...stellar writing!

Now this is something I can connect to on many, many different levels. It speaks to my heathen heart. The relationship between a woman and nature is a very powerful one. Especially the woods. There is some powerful magick in the forest. I find the comparison between woman and panther to be fascinating. Most women can relate very much to cats as their animus, for some reason.

This is a story I can see being passed from one generation to the next. A lineage story perhaps. It makes the reading of it more intimate.

I very much enjoyed. Nice work on this, my friend.
