Fire

Fire

A Poem by Laurie Lancaster

is the Ego

the Hero

the physical

punch in the face

excitement of the chase

the Knight in Shining Armour

the Win

the Sun

hot headed, burning up

destructive, explosive

volcanoes, ring of fire

the little flame

stoking it within

the glow large in some

dim in others

it is action

impulse

sparks flying over

my body

it is red, orange, purple

higher, out of control

dying into the burning coal embers

purifies and renews

eating up the energy around it

only feeling Self

warming us, feeding us, healing us

keeping us ALIVE
