Earth

Earth

A Poem by Laurie Lancaster

is the sensual

smell of the flowers

food, sex

feel your toes in the wet grass

reliable

reality

hold the dirt in

your hand

holding on for dear life

clinging

rooted

solid hips and thighs

Mother Nature

abundant

hard toil

mountain and concrete

builders, plodders

serial killers and farmers

ravaging this earth

touching it

going in deep

underground

the bowels

or climbing up to

the sky

to touch

the Stars

This planet, the earth, is stunning with beauty and is so versatile. There are so many captivating things to see on this Terra but as mentions in your piece there is good and bad. I like the walk through nature that this piece provides.
