11:30

A Poem by Lauren

11:30 p.m.
I went outside in the rain.
I just stood and felt.
I didn't think twice about whether or not I should.
I just did it.
The only choice I made was to go out the back or the front door.

The rain came harder.
As if the Earth was waiting for me to come outside and be reborn again.
To live.
To be free.
To feel happy.
I needed an adventure and I found it.

Drip drip went the rain.
Now you feel no pain.
You're not a burden to anyone here so stay.
You're one of us, a creature of Earth.
We'll hold you with care and listen to your sorrows.
None of us give a care about tomorrow.
Now come dance and play let it all slip away.
Look in your heart and just press play.
11:30 p.m.
