This is a poem that describes vowels as colors.

 Vowel Poem

“O” is black, onyx.
It is an opal noir.
I am outside, looking at a black, small oval opening leading to a secret world.
On the other side of the opening,
A party is going on and an old, black man
Plays an oboe.

“I” is brown, a murky pond. It is irritating.
I want to clean it. Icky.

“A” is red. It is the color of the aftermath of a sudden, angry ambush. Awful.
It is Snow White’s crimson apple as astonishingly collapses to the ground.

“U” is violet. It is the unusual color of a unicorn’s horn.
It is the planet Uranus, seen from outside the universe. Unexplainable.

“E” is green. It is an elf full of envy, flitting about an emerald forest.
It is the sky, when an extremely devastating storm sets in.
It is green echoes, etching pictures on the mountains.
