A Poem by subtly.existing
"

You gave me life, but never showed me how to live

"
I feel happy
For you
Once I drown myself
For you
In toxins
I'll aspirate
I am decaying
Alive
For you
You gave me life,
And expect me to know how to live.
I punish myself
I refuse to be happy
Because I'll never be good enough
For you.
I gave up years ago
on myself
I didn't believe in you
But you're still here for me
and now I need to figure out why I'm here.

It's taken me all this time
You've never seen
I'm only here for you.
Worst of all,
I'm pathetic.
I'd do anything
Not for you,
But for all of you.
I just want you to feel happy, to be proud.

I miss you.
