Do Not Go Running To The Call Of The Bells

Do Not Go Running To The Call Of The Bells

A Poem by Laura Murphy

Do not go running to the call of the bells.

Although, I know you will not,

You have told me yourself

That your life does not yet depend of the choices you have made.

Right or wrong? You ask yourself

Time and time again, without fault,

And then you turn to me,

Your ‘confidant’ or loved one.

You turn to me with faith and good will

And I fall into your trap.

Is it a trap? I cannot know.

Passion, truth, mystery...that which is love...or is It? Nicely done. Thank you for sharing.
