You're nothing but...

You're nothing but...

A Poem by SWANN

You’re nothing but the tree,

And the water running deep.

You’re nothing but the earth,

And the hills upon my breath.

You’re nothing but the sun,

The uplifting windy palm.

You’re nothing but the stars,

Wisdom sparkling through your green eyes.

You’re nothing but the grass,

Like the swept, mournful hush.

You’re nothing but the moon,

Memories of all that has been doomed.

You’re nothing but the night,

Sweet and loud through my heart.

You’re nothing but my life,

The horrendous, sparkling flight.

Very nice, I wish more poems had a style like this does.
