Ant

Ant

A Poem by SWANN

How can you take the lead and leave?

How does the night just let you sleep?

Have you ever fought before?

Do you know my soul needs more?

Meaningless as always, words

Careless, single, oh I'm bored

If heaven's soul just gave me strength

I'd take your heart, and cook a steak.

You know, my mind goes wild at night.

It speaks so loud, that I have to move back.

It tells me things I have to do

It uses words, that you once used too.

Have you ever wondered why?

Why in your life you've never been a child.

Why God sent you emotions you couldn't resist?

I will just tell you, that he doesn't even exist.

Black shivers ate my hopes alive

I built a wall so I can hide

It will protect me from the vultures

And will keep away the closest.

Forbid ever getting to the point in life

When you don't want to stay alive

That's when a precious moment of living

Turns into a grieving point of leaving.
