Have you ever been to visit a monastery or a spiritual retreat center and felt the incredible sense of peace that just permeated the air right down to your bones? These Godly places still exist....
yes they are!! worth far more than gold ;) i have been to a retreat ..and to a monastery ..both held unique and spiritual experiences for me ..but i have found "spots" out in nature that gave to me what your poem reflects ..when we find ourselves in such a "hot spot" one absolutely feels it ..there is a sense of responsibility one feels to protect it and savor that blessed peace that only comes from God ..your poem has bent my mind in a fine direction this morning ... so i would give you A + without hesitation :))

I liked how you defines this place. Giving beauty and blessing to the place.
"They are worth
Their weight
In Gold"
I agree with the above lines. People who serve, not require profit. Are the Angels upon the earth. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

There is a special grace-filled aura around these special people who serve God for the pure joy of living this life for something higher than monetary gain. Thank you.
A magical feeling indeed of inner peace and serenity. It is amazing how we are touched deeply by people and places when we connect. An excellent write dear poet.....:).....
I myself, have never been to a monastery or a spiritual retreat center. I do understand they're a place where people can find retreat from the stresses of life. If people benefit from them, I'm sure they're worth it. I would leave the poem as is.

not sure i would mess with it...sometimes better what just comes out naturally...i like the feeling of this...regardless of the strife in the world...if we have a calm spirit, we are prepared for whatever happens...the restless souls are the ones who constantly fret about tomorrow, or if there will even be a tomorrow....
i read this and thought about Harrison's "What is life?" and "my sweet lord"---
good write, Anne.
