Cloudy Winds and Fitful gods

Cloudy Winds and Fitful gods

A Poem by Bright Ocean Star
"

The stars twinkled down on me tonight...

"

Cloudy Winds and Fitful gods…

Silent wake and rapid clouds

Rip across the moonlit shroud

Racing winds blow way up high

Up above the cool, winter sky

Stars above lie stationary

Winking and blinking patient, airy

Moonlight translucent behind gray vapors

Moisture’s droplets wafts and whispers

Impatient, racing, rapid winds

Cross the heavens like the son of Zeus

hot on the trail of a wayward muse

What lies in wait, causing winds’ distress?

Has Zeus insulted Hera with another mistress?

No thunder rumbles on this night….

Yon silence sways quiet and bright.

i really like this theory of what creates a storm...i taught a mythology class...and for fun, had the students write and then play out a scenario in which zeus and hera were in therapy together, trying to save their relationship.

oh those damn mistresses create such storms...

Enchanting imagery as those mythology folklore's of the ancient world. So much we can learn and see the contentedness of relationships even in that genre. Excellent...:)........

My pleasure. Any time...:).......................
This poem has a wonderful rhythm and a quiet mystery to it. Just lovely. I too, miss our friends, especially Frieda. The people who delight in cyber bullying just move on to new prey. If I had one piece of advice to give women in this place or any other internet site, it would be don't put your photo up. I am sorry, it's true, that one little move will save you half the grief people may cause you. I wish it were not so, but it is.

its a crisp winter's very full moon here .. was taking it in when i let the dog out this morning so your picture is close and vivid ... nice contrast of hectic winds of the heavens, mythos and the coming calm .. in this case after the storm .. ahhhhhh the silence
