This is simply beautiful, Anne, so touching ...walking together in life as one, an idea that seems so distant at times in todays society, but there is proof it exists... Lovely work as always...this in going into my favorites.

The Righteous Brothers were big during World War II when soldiers often had to go off to war and leave their sweethearts behind in the states. If you were lucky enough to make it back, many of these guys had PSTD, but it wasn't diagnosed back then, and they strongly depended on their wives and girlfriends to heal their spirits and souls after they came home....because back then, no one went to shrinks and psychologists like they do today. It was a different time back then when almost no one got divorced. It might have happened, but it was almost unheard of. A unique and intriguing time to live. My parents were from that time period, and Top Gun kind of made the Righteous Brother's famous again for my generation that grew up long after world war ii. I am very happy you liked it. Thanks so much for taking the time to read it. :)

You have a lovely creative mind ... it is awesome to dive into it with your writing. :)
Firstly, I admire the form. It took me a second to find the flow, but once I did I was at the end of the rea before I knew it. This poem wooed me and I enjoyed every bit of it.

It's amazing what a glass of wine at the end of a long work day and music like the Righteous Brother's will produce....Thanks again. I'm very happy you stopped by to read it.
Anne, this is a wonderfully exotic and erotic love poem in terms of a real togetherness of souls as well as hearts.
funny, everybody goes so crazy over "you've lost that lovin' feelin'" but i always liked "soul and inspiration" better....
"you're my reason for laughing for crying, for living and for dying"
great song, and inspiration for quite a very good poem.

Funny the things that seemed so important years ago are so minimal today. I can sit silently ..no words needed...nothing in demand...nothing in want...no ulterior motives...just "be"....and it feel more Heavenly than I coulda ever asked for. kindred spirits...wondrous gifts! Lovely Piece!
