Noble Men, Modern Day Knights of the Realm

This is a small tribute to some very special men and women that I cannot thank enough

There are Men and Women with such worthy hearts

Whose time is given in no small part

To watch, teach, mold, and supervise

The character, mind, and future lives

Of growing unknown boys who are at risk

Risk their own fathers do not admit

These Men and Women are as Knights of Old

They ride White Horses and duly patrol

Looking for boys lost and in need of a hand

They take these boys on journeys to far, distant lands

They camp, canoe, they teach knives and knots

They cook out, rappel, and hike quite a lot

Sailing, biking, camping, and white water rafting

Are just a sample of the skills they are crafting

They keep the boys busy, so they stay out of trouble

they get the boys to emerge from their respective bubbles

They surround them with friends

Who become like brothers through a lifetime lens

 

Young boys need Fathers to watch them grow

Support, encourage, praise, and sow

Good seeds of honor, duty, and service to others

They may not get at home, left under covers

Too many boys live without Men

To raise and play and teach to defend

The meaning of true Manhood and Honor

Self Control and Truth be fonder

Peace and Fortitude, respect your elders

Diligence and Perseverance are held here

Self-determination and self-respect are felt here.

 

These are the Boy Scout Leaders

I can say a lot of positive things about the BSA; however, I could say some negative things too. What is beyond true is that boys needs guidance and shaping and for whatever reason, we are losing real men as our boys grow up without them. Very nice write!

Thank you it is a Honor reading this My husband is a
Eagle scout and still friends with his friends from scouts
all 3 of them are Eagle scouts And my husband as well.

My son helps if one is hurt as he is trained in CPR and First aid
and he knows the health precautions with himself and them.

Jordan is First class working on getting him to his
next rank He's 13teen very Excited about summer camp
I am their Trained Life Guard so will be good to have.

when i was in boy scouts, all of the fathers took turns leading us...we were quite grateful...

then we got an official scoutmaster...and he was awful...we all quit.

nice tribute poem to those men who fill in for the fathers with all they teach to young boys.
