Into The FlameA Chapter by DanielleMatt has made a big mistake
Into the flame
I woke up to find myself surrounded by fire. I looked around me and saw nothing but fire and flame. I stood up and saw a far away figure lying on the ground. I walked closer to it and could make out the figure of a person. I started running forward as I could make out who it was, Faye.
She was crying, beating her hands into the ground.
“Why did I have to die!” she cried. I started running towards her; I wanted to give her love, to let her know that I was there. As I started running something grabbed my leg and started pulling me back. I turned around to see nothing, but I kept getting pulled back.
No one can be together in Hell! I heard a voice whisper in my head
“No.” I pulled as hard as I could to get away from the force. I dragged myself forward, but I kept getting pulled back.
Suddenly the force let go and I was free. I made a mad dash towards Faye. Faye was farther away than I thought she was. When I was about five feet from her it felt like a large brick wall was placed in front of me. I fell to the ground and tried to get past, but I couldn’t. I yelled for Faye, I wanted her to know I was here, even if I couldn’t touch her, but she didn’t hear me.
When she lifted her head I saw that her face was beaten and bruised, and the large hole was still there. I saw the shadow of her dad over her, beating her.
“Stop it, you don’t need him!” he yelled at her. I wanted to beat him like he was beating Faye. He was hurting the woman I loved. Every time he hit her, caused her pain, it hurt me. I couldn’t stand seeing her in pain when we were living, and I can’t stand it now.
I made my way over towards Paul. If I couldn’t be with Faye because I love her, maybe I could be with Paul, no one loves him. As soon as I got to him, I drew my hand back and forced it forward into his nose. His head whipped towards the other side, but then he slowly turned it back facing me. His eyes widened when he saw me.
“Now, how did you, the world’s biggest kiss up, get down here?”
“Long story,” I said with anger “Why are you hurting Faye?”
“She deserves it, all she does is mope and cry, and that can get very annoying.”
“So she needs to be beaten?”
“It’s the only way she’ll learn.” I drew my hand back again, but before it hit him, he caught it.
“Is beating me the best thing?”
“How can I be with you, but not Faye?” Paul let go of my hand.
“You can be with her,”
“If I could be with her, wouldn’t she be standing up and hugging me instead of crying into the ground?”
“Faye, stand up,” Paul reached down and picked Faye up by her collar “What do you see?”
“Fire, all I see is fire.”
“You don’t see anyone else?”
“No, just you, and fire.” Paul threw her back on the ground and Faye curled up into a little ball.
“Faye, do you hear anything?” Paul asked.
“Can you hear me?” I bent down onto the ground and placed my arm on her side, but it went straight through her.
“No, just you.” It figures, she couldn’t see me, and she can’t hear me, and I can’t touch her. I watched in anger as Paul kicked Faye in the stomach. I threw myself over Faye and tried to stop Paul, but his leg went straight through me.
“Save me, Matt.” She whispered
“I can’t, Faye, I’m so sorry.”
Even though we can never be together again, I will never stop loving you.
