Chapter 6A Chapter by Danielle(this is still told from Faye's pov) Faye and Matt take their relationship to the next level. *my favorite chapter ever!!!!!*Chapter 6
Matt flew me home so I could change. He told me to put on somthing nice, but not too nice. I decided to wear one of my sundresses; it was light blue and had white and teal poka dots all over. I walked out of my bedroom and Matt had somehow changed wardrobe too. He was dressed in a stripped polo and jeans. "You look beautiful." he said. He put his arm around me as we walked out the door. I quickly grabbed a sweater in case it got cold. I started to wonder where he was taking us that required looking nice. "Where are we going?" "You'll find out!"
When we arrived at the park I realized where we were going. We were going to his secret garden. When we got to the end of the bridge, it look at lot different. Lantern lights were strung everywhere and a table with a tablecloth covered in rose petals was in the middle. Everything looked romantic until I saw Ryan, dressed in a waiter's uniform and impersonating a horrible British accent. Ryan had even gone the extra mile and smoothed his normally spiky blonde hair into a gentle wave.
"Good evening Madam and Mister, may I take you sweater, Miss?" I laughed as I handed him my sweater. We went to sit down at the table and Ryan came back out, still doing the bad accent, with a bottle of champagne. "Mister Matthew has suggested that a bit of the bubbly be served tonight." Ryan placed two wine glasses in front of us and poured us the drink. After Ryan left Matt and I started talking.
"This is amazing, how did you get all this stuff back here without anyone seeing?" "I know a few people." "Where did Ryan learn that horrible accent?" "He spent a few days in England"
Ryan came out of nowhere with a tray full of food. "Steak and Shrimp tonight followed by a beautifully prepared dessert." He placed the plates down in front of us and gave us silverwere, refiled the champagne, then did the thing mastor cheifs do when they complete a masterpiece meal. "So you're Italian now?" Matt asked? We all laughed and Ryan walked away. "Who made this meal? You would never make anything this fancy, and Ryan sucks at cooking," "My Mother dearest made it, but I bought the champagne. Just so you know, I didn't ask Ryan to do this, he did it himself. I told him I wanted to give you a special dinner, and he said he wanted to help and started jumping around begging to help." We both laughed at how ridiculous Ryan is.
I took another bite out of the steak and realized how good of a cook Angela is. Matt's mom was probably the nicest person on Earth. She had the same cloudy blue eyes Matt and Aaron shared, soft cream skin, and aging light brown hair. Every time I saw Anglea she treated me like I was her own daughter, like the mother I never had growing up.
Our dessert was beautiful. It was a dark chocolate cake with vanilla icing and three fresh strawberries. Matt cut me a slice and then him one. The cake was deliious, nice and rich, the rosting was soft and creamy, and the strawberries were fresh and juicy. We both ate a strawberry and then split the thrid one.
We were lying down on the grass watching the sun set. Matt had shi arm around me as we started seeing the stars apear. I put my head on his shoulder. He turned on his side and kissed me, I could still smell the cake in his breath. We stood up an dstarted walking around the garden. The sun was almost set as we stood next to the fountain. "Faye there's something I want to ask you." He pulled away from me. "What is it?"
"I love you very much, more than anything in the world, and my question is," I gasped as he got down on one knee and pulled out a ring. "Faye Elizabeth Monroe, will you marry me?" My heart jumped when I heard those words. I only had one answer for this question. "Yes." He stood up and placed the ring on my finger. He took me in his arms and romanticly kissed me. "I thought you hated The Fantasy." I whispered as I looked into his eyes, full of joy. "People change their minds a lot." I laughed as we leaned in to kiss again. "Do I still have to sleep on the couch?" I laughed again as I shook my head and laid my head on his chest. © 2009 DanielleAuthor's Note
