Faye Chapter 3A Chapter by Daniellethings start going downhillFayeChapter 3"Mallico, have you ever felt like someone was keeping a secret from you?" I was standing in the large black room; I turned around to see Mallico wrestling with the snake he had just brought in. "What are you doing?" I asked as he stared at me. "See this snake, well I'm going to take the venom out and see if there's a way that we can have it resting on our skin so that if you touched someone they get infected with the venom!" "That is really stupid." "I know, I know, now back to the secret thing, are you and Matt having problems?" he asked, slamming his elbow down on the snake's head. "No, it's just that he's always off doing who knows what at the last minute, like one menite he's sitting on the couch next to me, the next he's off to a Tiger's game with Ryan." I muttered, feeling angry, "Yesterday he siad that he was going to the game, and there was no game." "Well, I'm sorry to say this Faye, but it sounds like he's cheating." "Matt wouldn't do that." "Men arn't as innocent as they act." "But still, he wouldn't do that." "Yu seem really upset over nothing, Faye, tell you what, you can be the tester for my new project. I want to see if people are more aware to kilings when they are drunk. Would you please go to the bar and find someone that's had a little too much to drink?" "I guess." I grumbled. I dont' like it when he has me doing things like that; there are other perfectly good Villains that can do this. I bet I'm going to test the venom too.
I jumped onto the edge of the balcony that was just outside the window. I flew unnoticed to the bar and saw a man at the window. I quickly crashed through it, pulling him to the ground. I was going to kill him in one sqipe but then the world's biggest kiss up got me. I kicked him away from me as he landed on a table. I lept and pulled him to the ground. We crashed through the stone wall and landed in an alley "What do you want from me Maverick, I'm just trying to do my job and every time you show up!" I said as I threw him down on the ground. "I just want you dead." He stood up and pushed me against a wall. "You made me say this," I whispered, unaudible "Ascend." I used my hand to gently lift a car from the road and smashed it at Maverick. He was trapped up against the wall as I walked closer to him. On the ground was Maverick's mask. I've never seen Maverick without his mask. If I did, then I would have a lot of fun with his alter ego. The momentum from the car must have been enough, because when I pulled the car away, Maverick fell to the ground, unconcious. I was pretty proud of myself, never before had I been able to knock him unconcious. With him unable to respond, killing him would be much easier, there would be no struggle. I walked over to where his body lay and knelt on the ground I wanted to get a good look at him before I killed him. My heart dropped to my stomach when I saw who he was. Matt.
I shook my head as I stood up. My entire body trembled in fear. How could I not have known! All the details suddenly became clear. The black hair, same cloudy blue eyes, same dark tan skin, all these things should've given him away. I am so stupid! I flew up onto a building, I didn't want Matt to see me. I watched as Matt slowly slipped back into consciousness as tears began to form in my eyes. I hated knowing that the one I loved the most was the one I hated the most.
I was sitting on the couch when Matt walked in the door. He looked tired and had a noticable bruise on his right arm. I was still crying about my discovery, trying to pretend it wasn't real. "Faye what's wrong?" Matt asked, sitting on the couch next to me.. "Why didn't you tell me you were Maverick?" I said behind tears. "What?!" he said, stiffening his body. ""Why didn't you tell me you were Maverick?" I asked again. "What makes you think I'm Maverick?" "You're always tired, you're always bruised, and you have a scar on your neck that matches Mavericks," "That doesn't prove I'm Maverick." "I saw him with his mask off, and he looks a hell of a lot like you." "How, the only person that's seen him with his mask off is The Fantasy." he started projecting his voice like he always does when he's getting mad. "How would you know that, Matt?" "How could you have seen Maverick with his mask off if only The Fantasy has seen him?" "Why arn't you answering my questions!" "Fine!" he yelled "I'm Maverick, are you happy now!" "No." "How could you have seen me with my mask off, if only The Fantasy has?" "Well," I turned so that my back was facing him. I didn't know why, but my mask was in my hands. I slid it on and took out my ponytail so my hair was the way it was when I'm fighting. I turned around and looked at Matt. "I'm The Fantasy." Matt's expresion did not change. It was like he was frozen in place, not moving a muscle, not even breathing. "Matt," I said, moving closer. Matt was still frozen. I reached my hand for his and when i touched him his eyes looked down at our hands. "Matt, I'm sorry, I wanted to tell you." "When, after you killed me?" he finally said. "Why didn't you tell me sooner?" "Why didn't you tell me you were Maverick sooner?" "Because, I didn't think I could trust you with this secret." I ripped my hand away from his and starred at him with wide eyes. "You couldn't trust me!" I yelled. "Faye I'm sorry but," "No buts! I've known you for three years and you're now saying you can't trust me?" "I'm sorry," "What is it about me that you can't trust," Matt starred at me and thought. "Never mind, I'm out of here." I turned and headed for the door. "Faye, no," Matt grabbed my arm. I ripped my arm away from him and pushed him back. "Leave me alone." I pulled out of the driveway and head my phone ring. I pulled it out of my purse and swa that Matt was calling me. I hit ignore and focused on getting home. When I got back to my apartment I wakled straight into my bedroom and slammed myself down on the bed. I looked at my phone and saw that Matt had left a voicemail.
I listened as I heard the sadness in his voice. "Please come back. I made a big mistake in saying I couldn't trust you. I understand if you are mad at me but please come back so I can talk to you. I love you." I closed my phone and set it on the end table. I looked around my lifght blue room and everythingn reminded me of Matt. The light blue walls, Matt's favorite color, the picture of us on the end table, my collections of stuffed animal that most of them were given to me by him. I rolled onto my side and buried my head in the sheets, hoping I could get matt out of my mind.
When I woke up the next morning, I had three missed calls, all from Matt. I got out of bed and waked into my living room. When I sat down I saw a small note sitting on my coffee table, from Matt. I know you probably hate me, but I really am sorry. Please call me so I can talk to you. I love you :) Matt I read his barely legible message over and over before finally deciding to call him. The line rang once before Matt picked up, like he was waiting for me to call. "Thanks for calling me." "I'm still mad at you." "I know, and you have every right to be. I don't know what I was thinking when I said I couldn't trust you, I can, and I love you." "I love you too, just never say that again." "I won't, I promise, if I do you can leave me and never return no matter how much I beg." I laughed slightly as I started heading back into my bedroom. "I'll be over soon." "Thank you." "Every rose has its thorns, Matt." "As long as I have that rose forever, I will take every thorn."
