Prologue

June 26th, 1987

Today was the day that one of the most dangerous creatures on the planet was created.  The Villain leader Mallico rushed a tiny little girl down the hall of the Villain Republic.  When he entered the large black and red meeting room, all eyes were on him.

"What is she doing here, Mallico?" the Villain Infideltiy yelled to his leader, looking down at the small child.

"Come with me, Infidelity."  The two Villains walked down the hall to a silver lab.  Mallico took the girl and placed her on the large table that sat in the middle.

"Just relax Faye, everything will be alright." Faye's eys were wide with fear.  Mallico walked over to one of the counters and pulled needles and liquids out.

"What are you doing?" Infidelity asked as Mallico walked back to the table.  He placed five long needles in front nof Infidelity, all filled with a yellow liquid.  "She's too young Mallico! She's only three!"

"I can't wait two more years; it needs to be done now!"

"But that many will kill her!"

"No, she's a strong girl, and will be the best Villain alive.  Hold her down."  Infidelity placed his arms on Faye's shoulders as Mallico held one needle.

"When you wake up, you will be powerful." Mallico whispered to Faye.  Mallico stuck the needle into Faye's chest.  Faye let out a yelp of pain and jerked her head around.  Her entire body screamed in pain as Mallico continued forcing needles into her.  Faye's breathing quickened and her entire body went limp.

"Is that normal?" Infidelity asked with a worried look as Faye's body lay still.

"Yes, it happens to everyone becoming a Villain."

"Most Villains don't get the toxin until they're five, or five times in a row!"

"I want her to be powerful." Mallico whispered as he stuck the last needle in Faye.

Three hours later, Faye woke up.  She blinked her eyes and looked around at Mallico and Infidelity.

"Why did you give me a shot?" she asked Mallico.

"I wanted to make you powerful; dont you want to be strong?"  All of Faye's anger suddenly sexploded out of her.  She pulled her hand back and forced it at Mallico, sednign him across the room.  Mallico smashed into counters and drew a big smile on his face.

"It worked Infidelity," Mallico stood up and walked back over to Faye.  "Welcome to the world of evil, The Fantasy."

On that same day, three small children joined the world of good.  Five-year-old Matt stood next to his dad at Hero Nation.  He looked around and saw his two friends Katie and Ryan standing next to their parents.  Matt's dad, Thunderhawk, leader of the Heroes, waved for them to come with him.  He took them to a large blue room and had them all sit in chairs.

"Today is a very special day for you three," he told them.  "Today you will officially become Heroes."  He walked over to a table and took three small wristbands off of it.

"This is what you must wear to have your powers, it has the Hero Crest on and on the underside of the band there is a small needle that will supply your body with your powers."  Thunderhawk slid the wristband onto each of their arms and made sure the crest was in the right spot.  "Now you can't show this to anyone you understand," All three children nodded their heads in agreement.  "If anyone finds out you are wearing one of these you will be in big trouble."

"Can we tell our parents?" Ryan asked, looking at his crest.

"They already know.  Your parents and I will help train you to use your powers properly.  Come with me."

"Do you think they're ready?" Katie's mom asked.

"I know they are."  Thunderhawk led them out of the room and down the hall to the room where all the heroes trained.  "One thing I want to see if you can do is how strong you are.  Matt, try and lift this." Thunderhawk set a large weight infront of his son.  The weight weighed about as much as two full grown elephants.  Matt lifted up the weight carefully and then set it back down.  "Ryan, you're next."  Ryan stepped forward and easily lifted the weight with his fingers.

"Is that the heaviest you've got?" he said, with a lot of cockiness in his voice.

"Katie," Shyly, Katie stepped forward and struggled to lift the weight, but eventually did, after changing into an animal stronger than human.  "A shapeshifter, good we need one of those." Thunderhawk said under his breath.

"Next is speed.  Each of you will run through these tunnels and dodge barriers as fast as you can, go in the same order you went in for strength."  It was obvious that Thunderhawk showed favortisim towards Matt, being his son and all and future leader.  Matt ran through the tunnels and past the barriers in under five seconds, Ryan finished in ten, Katie in three.  "Good you are all fast."  There was suddenly a loud scream from Katie.  Thunderhawk ran over to her to see what was wrong.  Katie had her hand over her left ear and blood seeped through her fingers.

"How did you do that?"

"I know know, i just scratched my head and it started bleeding!"

"Let me see your nails," Thunderhawk took her hand and carefully looked at the extreamly sharp nails.  He placed the pad of his finger gently on the top of one and slid it across.  When he pulled it back blood was slowly dripping from his finger, even though he barely touched her nails.  "You need to be very careful with these nails, Katie." Katie slid the hand that was covering her bleeding ear back and there was no more blood.  Thunderhawk stared at her with an amazed look and took her hand.

"Dot that again, not to your ear, but to my finger." Because he heals fast, Thunderhawk slid her nails over his finger to make it bleed, and Katie slid her hand over the scratch.  "A healer and nails that can cut through anything, amazing."  Katie smiled and Thunderhawk stood back up.  "I think we have done enough today, are you ready for your Hero names?  All the children went wide-eyed and waited eagerly to hear their name.  "Because of your extreme strength, ryan, your Hero name is Steel Force.  Kecause of your unusual powers, Katie, your Hero name is Magenta, and Matt,  for your wide variety of powers, your Hero name, is Maverick."
