prendre

prendre

A Poem by Kay Anne Lindsey

laughable,
too much to take your breath away.
lips of gold,
soft as roses
which bleed thorns
in ice and lust.
satin skin on fire
beneath you,
through you,
in you.
a tangled web we weave
as light explodes in the darkness,
connecting, chest to chest,
my heart
to yours.
