Sisters! This ain’t no love poem cause I’m simply tired of that s**t

Tired of talking bout broken hearts, how we were’s, or who we should’ve been wit

I came to realize I represent another black girl who society wants to abuse

Welfare, projects, or domestic violence, sisters we gone be misused

 

America! Land of the free, home of the brave

Be dainty, know your place, don’t curse, sit back feet crossed at the ankles, and behave

Because behind every great man there’s a great woman they say

But now and days men done disappeared and women still remain

Raising children, working two jobs, head of households

There woes, their agony, tears untold

They smile, push on and act as if it’s all good

Nation saying stand up for your rights, but in their minds they wish a b***h would

 

Sisters, sending my younger sisters off to college

Praying that we’ll get what they never had, knowledge

Of a better life, a brighter hope, a tomorrow, if not for us do it for them

If I could tell my sisters anything I’d say you don’t have to depend

On anybody, on anyone, long as in God we Trust

For us sisters’, living on for them is a must

 

For every 1 parent house hold, we need a lawyer

We need a congress woman, for all the abused daughters

We want a doctor for all the addicts and fiends

For all the prostitutes, we need a court supreme

Another Oprah, not just another hoe

Sisters there is so much we must stand up for

Not another baby mom or another b***h

Sisters we must use what God endowed us with

Power, strength, dignity that’s what sisters are

Stand up my sister’s, near and far

And if my name is slaughtered or this is titled as s**t

Don’t matter to me cause my sisters we’re worth it!
