I Have Seen YouA Poem by LasergraphPoem in honor of valentine's dayI HAVE SEEN YOU
I have seen you in the mornings, Just before the dawn. I have seen you with your hair uncombed, Before the makeup has gone on.
I have remembered every wrinkle, And the creases of your smile. So don't feel uncomfortable, If I stare at you a while.
Don't worry about your body, Don't fret about your flaws, For each and every one of them, Had such a noble cause.
Each wrinkle tells a story, About our path upon the earth. The stretch marks are a reminder, Of the fact you've given birth.
So don't worry you aren't a Barbie doll, Or shiny like new chrome. I have given you my possessions, You have given me a home.
