Remembering First

Looking at life through a child's eyes

I wish we could all see the world,

Through a pair of children's eyes.

To see all the amazing things,

That took us by surprise.

 

To see the beauty of a butterfly,

Or a rainbow after rain.

All the first things we have ever seen,

To see those things again.

 

The beauty of the morning sun,

And the feeling of the dew,

Are quite amazing things to see,

Just to name a few.

 

Stomping through puddles after storms,

Watching frogs hop through the yard.

And although we thought things were tough,

Life wasn't all that hard.

 

All of our problems were pretty tame,

Like skinned knees from doing tricks,

And there was never anything,

A cookie couldn't fix.

A Child, knows not his blessings, till the passings of them. That is how we learn to appreciate what we have now, this kinda struck a lil chord in me, my life although not long so far, has kind of strayed from my wonderful viewings, and this reminded me of why i love to go outside, to see the world, to the beauty in everything :) although short, i felt it good :)

It is nice to have that childhood innocence, sometimes I miss it.

Sometimes we fail to see blessings when they happen and have to revisit to realize they are there.
