If I Were A Flower

If I Were A Flower

A Poem by Kaylee Olson

"If I were a flower"

If I were a flower upon my hour

what would I be

With all that power

who would I see

through every rain shower

In a dancing sky of sweet watery joy

dazzles me to no end

I am breathless to a beat

my heart shaped in a blossom

This love grows like a vine

developing into something of beauty

On a hot summer day

this breeze blows right through me

In a meadow of a field I grow in divine

with deep colors or wonders

My roots are strong ready to play

a melody in a mist

Begging me to stay

on this dirt and soil I rely

I witness the trees having conversations in the wind

begging and pleading for me to comply

With words I sway back and forth

in umbers of wind

If I were a flower

what would go through my mind?
