The Imperial Treasury

The Imperial Treasury

A Poem by Lana

I want him for myself.
I want to study telepathy to reach him.
I want to create a love spell.

I need to buy rose petals for my brain,
Honey, cinnamon, and bay leaves to stay sane.
And when I mix them all together with rosemary water,
I will repeat a mantra of love so we can be together.

I want him for myself.
I want to study magic to reach him.
But I know I can't even spell his name without crying.

I need to find a therapist,
To let out my tears of pure tyranny.

But you see, I want him for myself,
And I'm willing to use all my energy
The stardust we're all made of, suddenly becoming cosmic,
A cosmic plan to bring me to him.

And if ever my obsession shoots out of me
And ends up floating in the galaxy,
I'd still deny it as real.
I'd see it as a sign that I'm meant for him,
That his sanity will shoot out of his spirit
To join me in the realms where logic means nothing.

And if he was on sale,
I'd steal an imperial treasury
And I'd only be rich if I could afford him.
I'd only be rich if I had him.
