Purgatory

Purgatory

A Poem by Lana

I want a life with no poverty
No homelessness
Greenery, green so green it's in distress
I want a life with a filter on
It's frosty, light, and pink
It sparkles every time I wake up
And the palm trees sing with the wind
Tornadoes don't exist, only people's hearts
Beaming up to the sky
A tall light appears, so red at night
And a rainbow graces the sky
When the moon ceases to shine

I want a life where petty crimes don't exist
We are all rich
Greenery, green with cash, never in distress
No crisis, no elementary sin
No cast on your wrist
No broken hearts, no love
Only the kind of love you hear in music

I want a life with no ugly jobs
No service, no retail
No grim streets, no gray areas
No strange dances with drugs
No despair, no void
No renting out love through
The aid of agents from above

I want life to feel like death,
Or a dream,
Or somewhere in the middle
Purgatory

I like the use of green here...maybe the best place to be is in the middle...Purgatory as a good thing...
interesting comcept...
I have so many of the same longings expressed in this poem.
