Iris

Iris

A Poem by Lana

You look into the iris
the soul, its emphasis,
their bold eyes, or the lack of it.
A story lingers, bordering on cinephile,
like a dream room filled with films,
hidden within conduits of secret feelings

You meet them for only a moment,
unaware they’ve lived a million movies
a lifetime of scenes
And as you read this,
you’re doing the same thing

So get ready, actor

And...
Action.
