I wouldn't recommend

I wouldn't recommend

A Poem by Lana

Life is a vacation
That you don't wake up from
Some end up in a 1 star hotel
The food is bland
And the wifi is always dead
But they don't complain
While some are in a luxurious resort
They play golf
They go get lunch
At a Dior café in Cannes
Didn't you know that existed?
It does
There's a beautiful golden gate there
The chairs are sparkling
And the sun hits each sparkle and blind you
Like diamonds or stars in the sky
Some end up in a roofless house
Wouldn't really call it a home but
It has one room at least
With nothing in it
To find food
They kill things they see
Sometimes they steal
The apple falls from the tree
And it cracks open
To show red liquid
Trailing towards them
They cry out to God
But there's not a gem
In sight for them
No diamonds no blue skies
Only rain
And then the vacation stops
For all of them
And when they go to die
They ask "Did you enjoy your stay?"
And even the ones staying at a 5 star hotel
