Golden torch

Golden torch

A Poem by Lana

You've ran through the bushes
Where so few could go
Your house was blown to ashes
And the blood splattered on the floor
You climbed the Mount Everest
All on your own
And you did it all against your wishes
But you fail to let herself know
That your strength is your greatest riches of all
And when an obstacle as small
And light as a feather in the wind
Comes to your door
You dare to believe you could never bear it
Oh no
You are the steel holding up the globe
Your heart, a heavy stone
And you should carry it with a golden torch
Held high as you stand tall against the sky
And scream "Freedom!"
"I will have you until I die!"
Oh Freedom
You were meant to fly
Don't you forget it
And don't you cry
