Flatline

Flatline

A Poem by Lana

I wish I could be a spectator of life
And not participate in it
How much easier would it be to be alive
You'd have no purpose and be fine with it
You wouldn't feel any pain
Or the weight on your shoulder to make something out of yourself
The pressure to become somebody
You would observe other people's ups and downs
And be just a straight flat line
No real heartbeat
No real conflict
That would be nice
But I am a spectator of life
The problem is that it is a problem
Isn't everything a problem anyway?
Our desires always seem simple and logical
But they are complex
So complex we don't understand it ourselves
We think that if we want then we'll be okay
It doesn't always work
The tranquility of being a flat line
That's my fantasy

Flatline, you just changed the meaning of it on your own way, in your beautiful stressed and desiring words....I enjoyed your inner joy in words..:)
