So Fake

So Fake

A Poem by Lana

Everything seems so fake and uncertain
How can I even be sure I'm a real human being in a real universe
Scientists have a way to ruin the glamour about life
You feel things so raw and then you realize it was just a bunch of chemistry in your brain
We ask questions, get the answers and somehow it still doesn't answer anything

Everything seems so fake and uncertain
People on drugs can see other colors, I've been told, I have no source
Where are the aliens? How many galaxies are there?
What if we get an answer and we still don't know anything
Because everything is so uncertain

The infinite scares me, there's nothing more uncertain than infinity
This whole world was built on it, that is why we ask so many questions
We feed our brain with what we can touch, see, feel and smell and forget that there's a whole bunch of new rules out there that we know nothing about
Even the rules of the universe aren't real rules, not if you break them apart, take a giant magnifying glass, and try to figure out where it all started.
It's like trying to figure out how much infinity is infinity

Everything seems so fake and uncertain

everything is so uncertain, the existential crisis within the questions the narrator is asking is very healthy, as a human, one should stop and question the bizarreness of this life
