A Story by Lára

A power outage had occurred and stricken the entire quarter. Looking out the window one might hardly perceive more than the persistent fog that lay in the darkness. For a short moment of time, she felt complete tranquil and her mind was at ease. It was a rare feeling that she almost had forgotten.

Was modern society a deranged way of living and averting us from happiness?

As soon as the power was switched back on, these questions would emerge to her previously distressed mind. A state in which it hadn’t been for a very long time. It lasted only for a second, this calmness, and she queried of the frequency of it’s return.

I like your style. You weave words in facinating ways.
