Damned To Be

Damned To Be

A Poem by LapseOfMind
"

I sit and watch in wonder...and shame.

"
On the sidelines with the rabble
I watch what we've become
My voice is but a breath
In the destruction of the flood
These platforms plaster nonsense
Plastic faces on display
Elastic static is our language
With anathema on parade
They come carrying boxes
Christmas grins wiped on their face
Their message is acceptance
Accepting only their own way
For in those boxes we go
Categories are our names
Humanity is damned to be
Just another filthy shame

The poem said a handful and you led the reader to the solid ending.
"Humanity is damned to be
Just another filthy shame"
The above lines. Honest and true. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

You are welcome my friend.
Hella dope though! Ugh.

I'm sorry that's not constructive, or you know, writer-ish, but I had no other words.

Well thank you very much!
Indeed we all are "another filthy shame".

Wonder and shame, I love this contradiction.
