State Of Decay

State Of Decay

A Poem by LapseOfMind
"

A little expression

"
This kiss could never be for you
I'm watching as your waters recede
We paint too many pictures
I think I've lost what to believe
Can we take another moment
To give the night sky all its due
Your almond eyes were once mine
But me you choose not to include
What does it really matter
The laughter you let slip from your lips
When our fingers never touch
And our thread is just a thin wisp
I can still taste your salt
We were there once, remember?
The demon inside your sin
Left me cold with your embers

Powerful and honest words shared my friend.
"We were there once, remember?

The above lines drip with pain and memory. Thank you my friend for sharing the excellent poetry.

I saw dark, almond eyes in front of me as I read this. Nicely penned :)
